The Sandy Springs Police Department May 31 announced it has arrested a serial burglary suspect following an investigation that lasted several months.
According to a news release, the police arrested Ricky Ricardo Turner, 51, of Atlanta, for allegedly committing 14 burglaries in commercial offices in Sandy Springs. He was charged with 14 counts of burglary in the second degree, 11 counts of felony theft by taking and two counts of misdemeanor theft by taking.
These burglaries took place from December through May in the area of Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Hammond Drive and Glenridge Drive. Turner was released from the Georgia Department of Corrections in October after serving five years for a burglary conviction. He is being held in the Fulton County Jail without bond.
According to a criminal warrant from the Cobb County Magistrate Court, Turner is accused of stealing items from the Overlook II office building located at 2839 Paces Ferry Road in Vinings Feb. 28 and another office located 3330 Cumberland Blvd. in Vinings May 18.
