The Atlanta Police Department is investigating a Buckhead double shooting that claimed the life of one of victim.

Nov. 1 at about 2:21 a.m., Zone 2 police units responded to a 911 call about a person shot at the Allure at Brookwood Apartments off Peachtree Road, according to a police report.

“One male victim (Adalberto Narvaez Pozos, 38) was deceased on the scene,” the report stated. “Another male victim (27-year-old Tomas Garcia Carrillo) was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The initial investigation indicates the suspect (described as a black male in his 20s, about 6 feet tall) requested access into the gate from the victims, then began shooting, striking both victims. Homicide detectives responded to the scene and are leading the ongoing investigation.”

Lt. Andrea Webster said the men were shot as they crossed paths with the shooter at the gate and got into an argument. According to the report, the shooter did not steal any cell phones, cash or credit/debit cards from the victims and ran off after the victims ran away. The suspect is described as wearing a dark top and jeans.
