One of the key players in the iconic 1962 movie “To Kill a Mockingbird” is coming to Atlanta for a special event.

Actress Mary Badham, who portrayed Scout Finch in the film, will visit the Fox Theatre in Midtown for a question-and-answer session July 14 from 5:30 to 6 p.m. at the Marquee Club. The movie will be screened at the Fox that night at 6:30 p.m. as part of the Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival series.

At the Q&A guests will have the opportunity to ask the actress questions about the film, its impact and how she continues to spread knowledge about social injustice to future generations. It will be moderated by Chris Escobar, executive director of both the Atlanta Film Society and the Atlanta Film Festival.

Tickets are $40 (plus applicable fees) for Marquee Club nonmembers and will also include drinks, dinner and access to a rooftop view of Midtown’s skyline. Guests must also purchase a ticket to the screening of the film. Screening tickets are $8 through June 30, $10 starting July 1 and $12 at the door.

The Fox is located at 660 Peachtree St. NE in Atlanta. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.foxtheatre.org.
