Independence Day will go off with a bang in Sandy Springs as the City’s Stars and Stripes Fireworks Celebration will again light the sky over City Springs July 4.
Electric Avenue “The 80s MTV Experience” is set to rock the City Green. Called “America’s Best 80s Band,” the group covers many of the hits you know and love from the 80s.
“Last year’s turnout and fireworks were spectacular,” Mayor Rusty Paul said. “I’m thrilled to welcome the crowd back to City Springs to celebrate our nation’s 246th birthday under the stars.”
The lawn opens at 4 p.m. and music begins at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks will light the night sky beginning at 9:30 p.m.
Food trucks will open at 6 p.m. Attendees can also bring their own picnic or purchase food from one of the nearby restaurants. Only alcoholic beverages sold on-site are allowed. Tents and personal sparklers are not permitted.
