Georgia Public Broadcasting will host Be My Neighbor Day, a free event geared toward preschool children and their families, Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at City Green in Sandy Springs.

Attendees will be guided through a number of activities, including a meet-and-greet with Daniel Tiger, make a Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood pin and an interactive photo booth.

Share kindness by assembling a care package for children at Our House, a nonprofit that offers children and families experiencing homelessness the tools, support and education they need to thrive. Attendees are encouraged to be a generous giver by bringing laundry detergent or baby wipes to donate to Our House.

Attendees will also have a chance to be thoughtful and make a greeting card for a neighbor, meet community helpers from the Sandy Springs Fire Department and learn something new by testing out a PBS Kids Playtime Pad.

Parking will be available in the underground deck (zero to two hours free), accessible from Mount Vernon Highway and off Sandy Springs Circle at Galambos Way. Detailed parking information is available by visiting https://citysprings.com/plan-your-visit/parking.
