Downtown Atlanta’s Centennial Park District is offering holiday programming to delight visitors and residents of all ages.
Guests to the district can enjoy a variety of festivities at some of the Southeast’s most beloved attractions, from Georgia Aquarium to World of Coca-Cola. After soaking up the holiday cheer, visitors can stroll around the district to enjoy the many restaurants, hotels and entertainment venues, all within walking distance of one another.
Visitors can enjoy holiday-themed activities and promotions from now until Jan. 1:
Georgia Aquarium
o Through Dec. 31: Festival of the SEAsons transforms the Georgia Aquarium’s plaza, galleries and exhibits into a winter wonderland (free with admission).
o New Year’s Eve: Sips Under the Sea celebration to ring in 2018 (21 and older, price starts at $124.95).
o Dec. 16: Enjoy Breakfast with Santa with an underwater view of sharks, manta rays and more (advanced registration required).
Children’s Museum of Atlanta
o Cyber Monday: Surprise deal to come! Check website for details.
o Month of December: Celebrate holidays from around the world during this month of special programming for kids.
o Dec. 31: Countdown to 2018 with a New Year’s Eve party for kids, featuring a DJ and a dance party, noisemakers and more.
World of Coca-Cola
o Through Jan. 2: Come by and take in the life-sized holiday decorations and seasonal beverages at this cheerful local landmark.
Embassy Suites Atlanta at Centennial Olympic Park
o Through Jan. 2: Festival of the Trees, a holiday fundraising event, benefits local nonprofits that decorate festive trees. Visitors can vote for their favorites by donating to each tree’s charity (all ages)
Peachtree Trolley Tours
o Through Dec. 31: Enjoy a 90-minute guided tour of the district. Visitors can escape the cold while learning more about the history of the district’s attractions.
College Football Hall of Fame
o Dec. 9 through Jan. 2 (weekends only): Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year at Deck the Hall with treats, decorations and activities, including appearances by Fumbles the Elf and Santa.
Philips Arena
o Dec. 15: Get in the Christmas spirit at Jingle Ball, a concert hosted by Power 96.1, featuring artists like Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas and more (all ages)
o Dec. 16: Celebrate the holidays at V103’s annual Winterfest, featuring artists like Trey Songz, Yo Gotti and more (all ages)
