New Coke, Coca-Cola’s ill-fated version of the iconic soft drink, is making a brief comeback, thanks in part to Netflix.

When Netflix’s third season of “Stranger Things” debuts July 4, the show will travel back in time to 1985, the year New Coke was launched. To celebrate the show’s new season, the World of Coca-Cola in downtown Atlanta is offering fans a chance to get the drink.

In addition to www.cokestore.com/1985, one of the only places fans will be able to get their hands on the nostalgic drink (it was discontinued in 2002) is the World of Coca-Cola. June 4 through 6, the first 1,000 guests who buy full-price, general admission tickets on-site at the attraction will each receive a can of New Coke, while supplies last.

Limited-edition apparel featuring Coke and “Stranger Things” branding will also be available in the Coca-Cola Store at the World of Coca-Cola and on www.cokestore.com/1985 starting May 24.

The World of Coca-Cola is also celebrating another milestone in the company’s history. It has opened a special exhibit to honor the 50th anniversary of Coca-Cola changing its slogan to “It’s the Real Thing” in 1969.

Retro ads, posters and swag will bring to life the famous slogan that inspired pop songs from superstars of the day, including James Brown, Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles. The “It’s the Real Thing” installation in the Pop Culture Gallery is open through spring 2020.

For guests who can’t get enough of the Real Thing, an all-new, all-classic line of retail representing the iconic slogan is available in the Coca-Cola Store at the World of Coca-Cola. The collection includes men’s and women’s T-shirts, hats, a bag, a beach towel, a Tervis tumbler and a bottle opener.

Also, June through August, the World of Coca-Cola is putting a twist on one of America’s quintessential summer treats with a build-your-own float experience. For $9.95, guests will receive a 16-ounce souvenir cup with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and free reign of more than 100 familiar and exotic beverages in the Taste It! Beverage Lounge to create their own float.

Also in the Taste It! Beverage Lounge, a variety of slushie drinks will be available to help guests keep cool during the hottest months of the year. For $5, visitors can choose from flavors including Melon Frosty and Blue Raspberry.

Finally, this summer, fans enjoying Coca-Cola could end up with free World of Coca-Cola tickets. Today through July 21, packaging for Coke, Coke Zero Sugar and Coke Flavors (Orange Vanilla, Cherry, etc.) will feature peel-off labels that turn into wearable wristbands. Each band displays an icon that fans can scan with their phones to potentially win exclusive experiences nationwide. In Georgia, a limited number of bottles and cans will unlock two free World of Coke tickets.
