The prep soccer regular season has hit its penultimate portion of its schedule with the state playoffs starting next week for local programs with playoff positioning already taken place.

The Wesleyan boys’ team picked up a 4-0 road win over Providence Christian on April 12 to stay undefeated in Area 8A play. Abraham Lopez-Espinoza scored two goals for the Wolves while teammates Jonathan Lopez-Espinoza and Liam Coxhead each had a goal as well in the victory. Wesleyan visits Lakeview Academy in a region contest on April 19.

The Wolves’ girls team earned a 9-0 area road win at George Walton Academy on April 10. Ashley Cowart notched a hat trick with three goals while teammate Sadie Prince had two goals. Caroline Hayes, Lilly Tapp, Sarah Kate Brown and Ashley Binney each scored a goal as well for Wesleyan which visits Lakeview on April 20.

Fellowship Christian’s boys team dropped its Area 5A contest home contest to The Walker School 2-1 on April 12. Will Peterson scored the lone goal for the Paladins while teammate Noah Dryden had two saves in the loss. Fellowship’s girls team also fell to Walker the same day with a 1-0 defeat.

The King’s Ridge boys team earned a 3-0 home win over North Cobb Christian in an Area 5A contest on April 12.

St. Francis’ boys team fell at home to Walker 5-0 in an area contest on April 10. The Knights’ girls team dropped its game to Walker 10-0 the same day.

Mount Pisgah’s boys team dropped its Area 5A road contest at Whitefield Academy on April 10 by the score of 10-0. The Patriots host Mount Bethel Christian Academy in a non-region game on April 19.

Mount Pisgah’s girls team fell at Lovett 2-1 in a non-area contest on April 10. The Patriots conclude their regular season at Marist on April 20.

Alpharetta’s boys team won at Centennial 4-0 on April 13 in a Region 7AAAAAA contest. The victory gave the Raiders 13 wins on the season which is a program record. Alpharetta visits South Forsyth in a non-region contest on April 20.

The Raiders’ girls team also defeated Centennial the same day by the score of 6-0 and visits South Forsyth on April 20.

Both Centennial teams will host Forsyth Central in non-region contests on April 20 to conclude the regular season.

Cambridge’s boys team earned a 4-0 non-region home win at Lambert on April 11. After a scoreless first half, the Bears got on the board in the 46th minute on a John Crawley goal. Omar Dhrif’s goal off of an assist from Ethan Rose in the 51st minute increased Cambridge’s lead to 2-0. Rose scored the Bears’ third goal of the match from an assist by Dhrif to make the score 3-0. Crawley notched his second goal of the game in the 59th minute to conclude the scoring for Cambridge in the victory. The Bears followed it up with a 5-1 road win at North Atlanta on April 13 in Region 7AAAAAA play. Cambridge, which has won 14 out of its first 15 matches this season, awaits its playoff opponent.

The Bears’ girls team fell to Lambert 1-0 on April 11.

Chattahoochee saw its boys team defeat Dunwoody 1-0 in a Region 7AAAAAA contest on April 13. The Cougars’ girls squad fell to Dunwoody 2-0 the same day. Chattahoochee’s boys team visits Milton in a non-region contest on April 19 and the girls team visits Blessed Trinity the same day.

The Titans’ girls team defeated River Ridge 5-0 in a non-region road contest on April 13. Blessed Trinity boys’ team also beat River Ridge the same day with a 1-0 victory and host Jackson County on April 20.

Roswell’s boys team earned a 3-2 home win over Riverwood in a non-region contest on April 13. The Hornets will visit Walton on April 20 in their regular-season finale and for first place in Region 4AAAAAAA.

Roswell’s girls squad also defeated Riverwood at home on April 13 by the score of 5-2. The Hornets visit Walton on April 20 to move up the region standings and the chance to host a first-round playoff contest.

Milton’s girls team stayed atop the Region 5AAAAAAA standings with a 2-0 road win at South Forsyth on April 13. The Eagles host McIntosh in a non-region contest on April 19 before entering the playoffs.

Milton’s boys team dropped its region road contest to South Forsyth on April 13 by the score of 1-0. The Eagles host Chattahoochee in a non-region tilt on April 19.
