Milton Fire-Rescue Department marks new fire engine arrival with a traditional “push-in” ceremony on April 11.

The “newest resident to Milton” fire department is a 2019 Pierce Enforcer Pumper.

The vehicle, according to the Pierce website, is “proven reliability” and capability to “perform like never before.”

According to a news release, “the push-in ceremony is a traditional way to welcome a new fire apparatus to community service.”

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate alongside fire department members to push the engine into the station for the first time.

Light refreshments will be served at the fire house following the push-in.

Milton Fire Department Station 43 is at 750 Hickory Flat Road.
