Alpharetta Department of Public Safety shared this photo via Twitter of a fire that broke out at a construction site at Avalon.

A fire that broke out at Avalon in Alpharetta has been extinguished.

According to Alpharetta Department of Public Safety on Twitter, "a construction crane was on fire" and "collapsed."

Avalon Insider reported on its Twitter account the fire department "extinguished the fire at Building 10000's construction site."

The most recent update from Alpharetta DPS reported no injuries occurred as a result of the incident and the fire had been put out.

"We’re thankful there were no injuries," said @AvalonInsider.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Avalon described the fire as "an isolated incident by an equipment malfunction on the crane."

Alpharetta Public Safety initially alerted residents of the fire approximately an hour ago on social media.

"Fire at Avalon. Stay Away," said Alpharetta Department of Public Safety via Twitter.

Avalon is open and only one entrance is reportedly affected.
