Roswell drivers commuting down Canton Street may encounter a minor delay with temporary road closure on April 8.

The closure is anticipated for 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at 944 Canton Street, between Webb and Magnolia streets, to allow for "a construction materials delivery" according to a release from the city.

Wild Oats and Billy Goats, "a whimsical and colorful art gallery and artisan boutique" previously occupied the space,

A restaurant is anticipated to take over the space.

The Neighbor contacted the city to learn Babalu will open in the space, adding a tapas and tacos centered menu to the Canton Street restaurant roster. 

Drivers will be rerouted during the closure.

Roswell police and transportation staff will be on site during the closure.

More information about the upcoming restaurant opening will be provided as details become available to the Neighbor.
