Milton takes the next steps in a roundabout project aimed to lessen intersection congestion.

A traffic shift will be implemented at 1 p.m. on April 3 for the project at Freemanville and Providence roads.

Contractors will be shifting to a roundabout operation from a four-way stop at the intersection of the two roads.

Striping, traffic barrels, and signage will be utilized to indicate the shift.

Traffic can anticipate being "in roundabout status by the end of the day."

Drivers should expect delays as we transition. The project will not be complete at this point, but this is the next phase of the construction process.

The design goal of the project is "to help alleviate congestion at the former intersection."

Milton expressed appreciation to the residents for their patience during the project construction.
