The Heart & Sole 5K returns to Avalon in Alpharetta on April 13.

The race is in its fifth year and all proceeds benefit The Lionheart School, a special needs school and 501©(3) organization.

All participants will receive a t-shirt and will enjoy a post-race festival held at Avalon.

In-Person registration and bib pick-up is April 12 at Avalon: from 12 to 2 p.m. across from Kendra Scott and 4 to 6 p.m. in Lululemon.

Racers can also pick up their bub at the Avalon Concierge at 6:30 a.m., day of.

The Heart & Sole 5K at Avalon begins at 7:30 am; the Fun Run at 8:30, then the “Tot Trot” at 9.

Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome, strollers and dogs are also permitted to participate.

Heart & Sole is a “USATF Certified 5K” with “Professional Chip Timing.”

Those who finish the race can anticipate celebrating with a complimentary Tito’s Bloody Mary at the post-race party on the Plaza.

The Lionheart School students, their families and staff will be at the event.

Items from The LionheARTisans Cottage and produce from The Lionheart Gardens, the school’s organic garden will be available for purchase.

Cost to register is $35 for the 5K; $20 for the Fun Run and $10 for the “Tot Trot.”
