Alternative treatment methods are gaining more attention and use over traditional medicines, one of which can now be found in Roswell.

Your CBD Store recently opened on South Atlanta Street.

CBD or “cannabidiol” is “a compound or cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant and it is responsible for many of the herb's known medicinal benefits.”

The use of cannabis oil has been met with controversy, but with the extraction of “THC,” has positive results.

“When derived from strains of cannabis with less than 0.3 percent THC, also known as industrial hemp, it is legal and easily accessible throughout the United States,” as stated in the Your CBD Store Guide.

A doctor’s recommendation or medical marijuana card is not required to purchase it.

Your CBD Store Owner Rachael Arrington was familiar with Roswell when her daughter previously lived in the city.

She also credited the “small town feel” of Roswell for choosing to locate the store there.

Arrington describes finding the location “truly by chance” and attributes help from Roswell Inc.

Your CBD Store aims to offer a personalized experience to determine the proper use of CBD for each potential customer.

“CBD is often found in higher concentrations in strains of cannabis that are low in THC.”

Pain management, mental health, and physical conditions are the top three categories of CBD usage.

According to the guide, “one of the most common reasons people turn to medical marijua-na is to find a safer alternative to pain management and for those who want to avoid psychoactive effects, CBD is often the logical choice.”

“CBD offers anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects that make it an effective herbal supplement for those looking to treat their chronic pain,” said the guide.

Cannabis has long been considered for the treatment of several mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety disorders.

There are several ways to consume CBD and all are beneficial,” said Arrington.

CBD oil is the most consumed form, according to Brooke Arrington, it can be mixed with water or juice or taken sublingually.

Your CBD Store also offers “edibles” such as candies, even baking mixes for cake, brownies and cornbread.

“Soft gel capsules” in different dosage levels are also available.

Topical and vaping are two additional methods for CBD use.

“Topicals are excellent for pa-tients suffering from chronic pain as they provide localized relief and relatively quick to set in after application.”

CBD based lotions can be “awesome for hydrating and can be used to fight acne, psoriasis and any skin inflammation.

According to the Your CBD Oil Store Guide, “vaping is the method known to have the most immediate effect aside from topical.”

“Edibles” are estimated to take from 30 minutes to an hour and a half to become effective.

Oils can take as little as a few minutes to as much as an hour or more, depending on the usage.

Arrington noted that method of consuming CBD “comes down to a combination of your reason for medicating, and your personal preference.”

Your CBD Store sells SunMed Full Spectrum Hemp Oil products, “made with the highest quality, organically-grown hemp” from Denver, Colorado and “registered with the Colorado State Department of Agriculture.”

Since “quality varies depending on the strain of hemp the oil was made from,” Your CBD store advises to “do your re-search before investing your money in a CBD hemp oil.”

Those considering using CBD are recommended to “consult your doctor before you quit taking any medications with intentions of replacing them with the natural and holistic option of CBD.”

Your CBD Store is at 555 South Atlanta Street in Roswell.
