Alpharetta will soon be home to a "handcrafted and fully customizable" take on a classic treat.

Popbar will open the doors to a new store with its "all natural gelato and sorbetto concept," according to Popbar Brand Director Megan Lewkowicz.

The sweet treat destination aims to "reinvent the authenticity" and "nostalgic feeling" of gelato in "pop" form.

Basic flavors of popGelato offered are anticipated to include; banana, chocolate, coconut, coffee, hazelnut, mint, peanut butter and vanilla.

"popSorbettos," are fruit-based and milk-free pops available in many flavors: lemon, mango, mixed berry, orange, peach, pineapple, strawberry and seasonal selections.

"YogurtPops, gelatoShakes, popWiches, wafflePops and Hot Chocolate on a Stick" are also options for sweet treats.

More "delicious and unique flavors" according to Lewkowicz, are "pistachio, blood orange, dulce de leche, green tea cookies and cream and spicy chocolate."

Patrons can further customize the pop treats with dipping chocolates and toppings.

The popbar also offers "kosher, vegan and gluten-free options."

All popGelato, popSorbetto and YogurtPops are "freshly made in house throughout the day in our visible 'popLab,'" said the website.

Patrons can see pops in the making by "Popologists," who produce the bars in small batches using all-natural ingredients.

"Our 'Popologists' take pride not only in making popbars, but also in serving them according to your specifications."

The Neighbor will continue to provide updates on the opening of Popbar in Alpharetta.
