Alpharetta Police arrested Aaron Michael Carrillo of Marietta after he reached 114 mph on 400, police say.

The 25-year-old was arrested and charged with a DUI, speeding and reckless driving. Carrillo was heading northbound on 400 at Haynes Bridge Road around 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

Police say Carrillo’s eyes were bloodshot and his speech was slurred when the officer pulled him over. Carrillo agreed to sobriety tests, and failed to recite the alphabet. Carrillo was also given several preliminary breath tests, but police were only able to get a partial reading of .179 blood alcohol content.

Carrillo admitted to drinking a beer before driving, and was taken to the Fulton County Jail.

Georgia law prohibits drinking and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher.
