As Sen. Johnny Isakson’s retirement from the U.S. Senate draws near, Georgians are lining up to pay tribute to the state’s senior senator.

Several of Isakson’s colleagues in Congress have made statements about Isakson’s legacy and a video was released yesterday highlighting some of his accomplishments. The video is below.

An hour of time on the floor fo Congress was devoted to the Georgia delegation to offer their memories of Isakson in a special order that included moving speeches from John Lewis, Tom Graves, Austin Scott, Doug Collins and other members of the delegation.

Isakson was present in the House chambers to hear what his colleagues had to say.
