Cherokee County educators and residents can learn about school-based mental health resources and suicide prevention at an upcoming town hall meeting.

The town hall is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Cherokee Hall in the Cherokee County administrative complex, 1130 Bluffs Parkway in Canton. The event is hosted by the regional Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities advisory council.

The Apex program, paid for by DBHDD, creates partnerships between mental health providers and local schools for school-based mental health services.

Speakers include representatives from DBHDD, the Georgia Crisis and Access Line and Highland Rivers Health.
