A Rome man is charged with two counts of aggravated assault after he was arrested on Shorter Avenue.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Jozell Marcus Payne, 45, fired at two people at a residence on Wilson Avenue in South Rome. Payne used a stolen firearm during the incident.

He's also charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
