WOODSTOCK — For the third year in a row, The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta will host its More Than Tax Free event offering shoppers an $8 gift card for every $100 spent on all their purchases for one weekend only.

The event was initially inspired by the state’s annual tax-free weekend and has continued on account of its popularity, especially leading up to back-to-school shopping.

This year’s More Than Tax Free event is July 20 through 21. While Georgia has not made a decision on the future of its tax-free weekend, The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta is keeping the tradition going.

Shoppers will receive an $8 gift card for every $100 spent, which provides a higher return than the 6% Georgia sales tax, giving an even bigger bang for your buck.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with the positive responses to this event from shoppers over the past two years, so we knew we had to bring it back, especially as it draws shoppers from all across the state,” said Charlie Loughran, general manager. “We’re extending our hours throughout the center, staying open longer to give everyone a chance to come out and take advantage of the More Than Tax Free event.”

For even bigger savings, shoppers can combine multiple receipts from different stores during the two-day period. To redeem the gift card, simply present receipts at Guest Services, located in the Food Pavilion.

To allow patrons even more time to shop during this special event, The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta is extending hours at all of its 100+ stores throughout the weekend: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Extended hours means more opportunity to Sip & Shop, which allows you to grab a drink to-go while walking through the wide variety of stores. De Allende Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar offers many drink options, including their signature margaritas, or take a break with a cocktail at Taqueria Tsunami’s new outdoor bar.
