Cherokee County residents will have one final opportunity to view conceptual plans and submit feedback for new parks in the southwest area of the county at an upcoming virtual public input meeting.

The final public input meeting for the Southwest Cherokee Parks and Trails plan is scheduled for 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1. Participants are encouraged to register early at During the meeting, participants will be presented with outreach findings from the online survey, which closed in December, as well as rough costs for the proposed projects.

“We’ve had excellent public participation to date through our website and virtual meetings. We hope that everyone will join the final public input meeting to see the plans that have been revised based on their input to date,” Community Services Agency Director Bryan Reynolds said.
