An Aragon woman was released on a $5,700 bond Wednesday after her arrest on warrants stemming from a May 3 wreck outside her home.

According to Floyd County Jail and traffic reports:

Eylonda Kay Luker, 56, lost control of her car while driving west on Wax Road, negotiating a left curve. The car began to skid and crossed into the eastbound lane and struck an embankment. Because of the impact, the vehicle rotated counterclockwise and rolled onto the passenger side.

Passenger Patricia Jackson, 73, was partially ejected and pinned by the vehicle. She was taken to Floyd Medical Center after the wreck, where she died on May 5 from injuries.

In the arrest warrant, Luker was cited for driving too fast for wet road conditions. She is charged with misdemeanor second degree homicide by vehicle.
