With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing senior citizens living at assisted or independent living facilities to stay home without visitors inside, the Hammond Glen Retirement Community in Sandy Springs held a drive-by Mother’s Day parade so dozens of families could honor their mothers and grandmothers there. The parade was organized by Hammond Glen’s employees to also connect mothers and grandmothers to their families while also respecting social distancing.
