Mercedes-Benz USA gives back
Sandy Springs-based Mercedes-Benz USA recently delivered 500 emergency kits to The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Red Shield Shelter, a 320-bed facility located in downtown Atlanta. The kits were for Atlanta medical professionals and homeless men, women and families. Donated by Mercedes-Benz, Alston & Bird, The Coca-Cola Co. and IHG, they include critical items such as face masks, gloves, disinfectant wipes, toilet paper, hand sanitizer and Tyvek suits. Each company involved in the donation serves as a member of the Disaster Action Alliance, a coalition of 30 metro Atlanta corporations, nonprofits and community organizations committed to offering aid to communities nationwide during natural disasters.
