Lexus recently tapped students at Savannah College of Art and Design's (SCAD) Atlanta campus to design a concept for their arcade window display at the entrance of the Fox Theatre in Midtown. Titled the Lexus/SCAD Design Challenge, the competition took three days and the winning design was unveiled during a private event at the Fox's Marquee Club. The challenge, facilitated by SCADpro, included 12 student participants from different disciplines such as illustration, graphic design, sequential art, branded entertainment and advertising. In the end two students were named winners: Katsy Garcia and Amber Baldwin. The assignment was to create concepts that are thoughtful, imaginative, brave and foster innovation, all aligned with the Lexus theme of “Experience Amazing.”
