Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta, a Buckhead-based affiliate of the Dallas, Texas-based nonprofit that provides research, treatment and support services for breast cancer victims, will host its sixth annual Bubbles & Bling fundraiser Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Carlos Center in DeKalb County.

This year’s event, dubbed “Disco Ball,” will have a disco theme, and attendees are encouraged to wear their best outfits from that era. Bubbles & Bling will also include heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, music and dancing, silent and live auctions and a chance to play for the golden ticket.

This year’s event will honor Susan and Jim Hannon and Janice McKenzie-Crayton for their support of Komen. Tickets are $150, and the ball will raise funds to support metastatic (Stage IV) breast cancer research. Komen will use the monies to try to accomplish the bold goal of reducing the number of breast cancer deaths in the U.S. (about 41,000 annually) by 50 percent by 2026.

The Carlos Center is located at 2500 Clairmont Road in Atlanta.
