The Fulton County Department of Senior Services will observe Older Americans Month in May with health fairs to encourage seniors to know the status of their health, and to work to maintain their wellness. Health fairs will be held at the following locations:

Helene S. Mills Senior Multipurpose Facility: May 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Screenings will include hearing, vision, blood pressure checks, body mass index measurements and cholesterol screenings. Participating agencies include WellCare, JenCare, Genesis HealthCare and the county’s Fulton Fresh, a fresh fruits and vegetables program provided by Fulton County’s Cooperative Extension. Dorothy C. Benson Senior Multipurpose Facility: May 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Northside Hospital Corporate & Community Health Solutions will provide free screenings to seniors in Fulton. Screenings will include cholesterol and glucose, blood pressure, diabetes assessment, coronary risk profile and more. Other health partners will also participate.
