Delta Community hosts apprentices
Delta Community hosts apprentices: In addition to fall classes, three Fulton County students recently started part-time jobs as professional bank tellers. As participants in work-based Learning programs at their schools, they were offered an opportunity to take part in the Delta Community Credit Union High School Apprentice Program. Amaya Willis, Olivia Thomas and Matthew Cockfield-Harris, who attend North Springs Charter High School in Sandy Springs, will work part-time as tellers in Delta Community’s retail branches in Midtown, Sandy Springs and Alpharetta, respectively. They are among two dozen high school juniors and seniors who will spend the 2019-20 academic year working in Delta Community branches throughout metro Atlanta. In addition to a paycheck, apprentices receive the same professional job training as full-time tellers, as well as future job opportunities.
