Nicholas Kontaxis, an internationally known artist who is autistic, had his works displayed in “Come Here,” an exhibition Oct. 18 through Nov. 14 at the Ann O Art gallery at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta. Kontaxis, 23, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 18 months old, has had over 50,000 seizures in his lifetime. Despite those setbacks, the Palm Springs, California, resident has thrived as an artist, even collaborating with Adidas for a piece at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, in April and doing other shows in New York and London. The day after the exhibit opened in Buckhead, at the gallery hosted a launch event. Kontaxis was to appear there but couldn’t.
