CHRIS 180, an Atlanta-based nonprofit, recently stepped up to help homeless residents or individuals living at home but without access to food during the coronavirus outbreak by distributing lunches to them from at the Atlanta Police Foundation’s At-Promise Center, where CHRIS 180 is the lead service provider. CHRIS 180 aims “to improve our community by providing children, adults and families with high-quality, trauma informed behavioral health services and support systems,” according to its website. CHRIS is an acronym that stands for its core values: Creativity, Honor, Respect, Integrity and Safety. Five of CHRIS 180’s seven counseling centers are open and providing tele-counseling to help those who need it. For more information, visit www.chris180.org.
