The Lenbrook retirement community in Buckhead recently hosted the Children’s Art Festival, an exhibit of artwork by children from all over the world. The exhibit promoted world peace by displaying about 75 pieces of art from children expressing their hopes of friendship and peace through International Paint Pals, an Atlanta-based nonprofit founded by Lenbrook resident Linden Longino. Since the organization’s founding in 1995, more than 200,000 kids from 117 countries have participated in the program and became Paint Pals. At the event about 30 children created their own artwork promoting world peace. The artwork, including the works created at the festival, will be given to the Carter Museum and Library in Atlanta.
