The Buckhead Heritage Society recently organized a cemetery cleanup service project in which more than 30 volunteers participated. The event took place at historic New Hope African Methodist Episcopal Church on Arden Road. Volunteers removed leaves and limbs and also learned more about the ongoing research project to document the cemetery’s marked and unmarked gravesites. The society is a nonprofit that aims to preserve history in Buckhead.
