The Buckhead Business Association and Livable Buckhead handed out two and four awards, respectively at the association’s annual luncheon Feb. 6 at 103 West in Buckhead. Livable Buckhead gave its Triple Bottom Line Award to Gables Residential for its solar energy program at the Ashley Gables Buckhead apartment community, and named Homrich Berg its Mobility Champion for its commute options program that tripled the percentage of its employees who use a commute alternative. The association gave its Buckhead Beautification Award to the Bobby Jones Golf Course and Bitsy Grant Tennis Center, which were redeveloped in a year-long project that was mostly completed in November 2018. The Buckhead Entrepreneur of the Year Award went to Ashley Wallace, owner of House of Wallace, for bringing Los Angeles fashions to her clothing store in Atlanta, and Marvin Cosgray, area executive for CenterState Bank, won the Sam Massell Bullish on Buckhead Award for his efforts in the community. Buckhead Cosmetic and Family Dentistry was named the Buckhead Business of the Year for its overall impact on the community. It won against four other finalists: Burn Studios, Dance with Me, Flower Child and Little Alley Steak. The association also presented a $1,000 check to Nicholas House, an Atlanta homeless shelter, as the beneficiary of the 2019 Taste of Buckhead.
