Fifteen volunteers from the Buckhead Coalition and the Buckhead Business Association, including the association’s Young Bucks group, recently cleared four cluttered sidewalks on bridges over creeks and rail lines along Peachtree Road in Buckhead. Coordinated by Garth Peters, the coalition’s executive vice president, the initiative included help from Home Depot and Buckhead Movers, which loaned equipment for the volunteers to use. Trash, weeds and dirt had accumulated under the water pipes near the sidewalks, causing difficulties for pedestrians and individuals confined to wheelchairs.
