During the Christmas season, Buckhead-based Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty recently hosted its annual holiday party at the Cherokee Town Club in Buckhead. This year’s event benefited three charities: Covenant House of Georgia, Connections Homes and the Action Cycling Atlanta’s AIDS Vaccine 200 bike ride by donating $10,000 to each nonprofit. Company agents were asked to nominate charities as recipients of the holiday donations. The Covenant House, nominated by Margaret Rodbell and Yetty Arp, provides safe and accessible housing to the homeless and homeless young children. The Connections Homes, nominated by Leianne Messina-Brown, connects young adults who have aged out of foster care and who are homeless to stable families who will help them through their life. The AIDs Vaccine 200, nominated by Sam Morgan, is a 200-mile bike ride that challenges people to step out of their comfort zones and work for HIV/AIDS.
