GreyStone Power, which serves portions of south Cobb County, ranks highest in customer satisfaction among cooperatives, according to the J.D. Power 2019 Electric Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study.
The co-op will receive the J.D. Power Award from a company representative in July.
The Electric Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study, now in its 21st year, measures customer satisfaction with electric utility companies by examining six factors — power quality and reliability; price; billing and payment; corporate citizenship; communications; and customer service. The study is based on responses from thousands of online interviews conducted from July 2018 through May 2019 among residential customers of the 142 largest electric utility brands across the U.S., which collectively represent more than 101 million households.
GreyStone ranked highest in three factors that contributed to the co-op’s segment winning score, including billing and payment, corporate citizenship and communications. Also, GreyStone received a score of 819 out of 1,000. This is the highest score received by any electric utility in the segment’s history.
GreyStone Power is a member-owned cooperative providing electricity and related services to more than 118,000 members in eight counties, including portions of Cobb, Paulding, Douglas, Fulton, Carroll, Bartow, Fayette and Coweta counties.
