Two of Cobb-based Delta Community Credit Union home loan specialists won recognition from the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia for demonstrating excellence in their field throughout 2018.

Rhonda Dearing and Mattie Ford were honored with MBAG’s prestigious Platinum Award, which is awarded to loan originators who demonstrate excellence with high ethical standards and productivity.

Throughout 2018, Dearing generated more than $38 million in mortgage loans and Ford more than $34 million.

“For nearly 20 years, Mattie and Rhonda have established themselves as trustworthy advisers who help prospective home buyers navigate what can be a stressful process,” said Hank Halter, Delta Community CEO. “Their significant productivity reflects the confidence our members place in them to provide sound, personalized service.”

MBAG is a trade association for mortgage lenders, brokers and others in real estate finance in Georgia. It promotes the highest professional and ethical standards and provides ongoing educational opportunities to mortgage lending professionals.
