Cobb-based Delta Community Credit Union recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of its branch at 2627 Dallas Highway in Marietta.
Long-time members and community partners joined Delta Community employees and executive leadership to celebrate the milestone.
“Of our 370,000 members, 32,000 live in Cobb and Paulding Counties, and 19,000 of them call this their ‘home’ branch,” said Hank Halter, Delta Community CEO. “Congratulations, and thank you for providing our members with a decade of friendly, trustworthy service and sound financial advice and products.”
A growing number of Paulding County residents have joined the credit union since last year, when the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance approved changes to Field of Membership (FOM) rules for the state’s credit unions. Now, people who live or simply work in Delta Community’s 11-county FOM are eligible to join the credit union.
“Because of our location on Dallas Highway, we get a lot of traffic from people who live in Paulding County, but work here in Cobb,” said Lakeisha Chambers, branch manager. “I’m delighted to welcome them to join so they can take advantage of Delta Community’s friendly, helpful service and more competitive rates in a location that is convenient for them.”
