Doran Commercial Real Estate announced that construction began to renovate the vacant Babies R Us building on Greers Chapel Road in Kennesaw in April 2019 into a modern office building known as 1875 @ Barrett.
“We’re well into the process and you can really see the transformation of the building,” said Bill Doran of Doran Commercial Real Estate. “When completed, it will offer a combination of features not available anywhere else in this market — visibility, modern look, high ceilings, lots of glass, high parking ratio.”
The complete exterior renovation includes new landscaping, new facade and full height windows throughout the building’s perimeter. On the interior, it features a large open floor plate with high ceilings and abundant natural light.
The floor plan will be customized to the occupant’s needs once a tenant has been identified and the freestanding building allows for unique options not available in multi-tenant buildings. For example, the building has large roll up doors that can be opened up to a covered patio area.

It will give the tenant the opportunity to customize their work space at an incredible location with access to an abundance of amenities.”
Developed by BT Kennesaw LLC and marketed by Doran Commercial Real Estate, this new office space is scheduled to be complete by the end of July. BT Kennesaw LLC is a joint venture between TPA Group and Blanchard Real Estate Capital. This project adds to TPA Group’s already robust list of redevelopments in the Southeast.
