The Mustangs got a huge boost from their boys team, which ousted Harrison by nearly 300 points. Harrison won the girls meet over Kennesaw Mountain by 81 points.
Hillgrove edged Marietta by six points to take third overall. Allatoona was fifth and Walker was sixth.
The Kennesaw Mountain boys started things off with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay. Cullan Sherlock won the 200 freestyle and Thomas Locke clinched the 50 freestyle. Layde Garrett stepped up to win the 100 freestyle, with Devin Zumaran taking second.
The Mustangs also placed third in the 200 freestyle relay and second in the 400 freestyle relay.
The Lady Mustangs won the 400 freestyle relay and scored high in diving, with Jordan Shealy, Abby Martin and Rochelle Still sweeping in the top three. Maggie Layde also contributed by winning the 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle, and Caitlin Oh clinched the 100 breaststroke.
That, however, wasn’t enough for the girls to beat Harrison.
The Lady Hoyas won two of the three relays. Olivia Jacobi was a two-time winner in the 200 individual medley and the 500 freestyle, while Catherine Rothery and Madison McConnell were first and second in the 50 freestyle.
Walton 73, River Ridge 61: Rico Overall scored 31 points as the Raiders used defensive pressure to pull away for a victory at home.
Walton led 17-7 after the first quarter and 36-20 at the break.
C.J. Wingate scored 10 points for the Raiders, who saw 10 different players score.
Walton (9-7) will host Etowah on Tuesday.
Allatoona 58, Bishop Verot Catholic (Fla.) 42: The Buccaneers finished the Wally Keller Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla., with a 1-1 record.
Mario Baggs, who scored all of his points in the second half, led Allatoona with 13. He was 3-for-3 from the free-throw line and made a pair of 3-pointers.
Daniel Fowler was named the player of the game following his 10-point, nine-rebound performance. He also had three steals and three assists.
Jacob Morrison finished with nine points, including a pair of 3-pointers, for Allatoona (15-4), which will play at Rome on Tuesday.
Sprayberry 62, Walker 45: The Yellow Jackets outscored the Wolverines 27-9 in the second quarter to pull away.
Jontae Williams led Sprayberry with 16 points.
Robert Baker had 18 points and seven rebounds for Walker, while Cole Warner had 10 points and eight assists.
Walker (1-16) will play at Mount Paran Christian on Tuesday. Sprayberry (13-7) will host Osborne.
Kennesaw Mountain 72, Gordon Central 69: Adrian White’s 3-pointer inside of the final 2 minutes gave the Mustangs a lead they held on through the end of the non-region road game.
Kennesaw Mountain (12-6) rallied after trailing by nine at halftime.
White finished with 24 points, Brendt Pickens had 15 and Nigel Hayes 10.
Kennesaw Mountain will resume Region 4AAAAAA play Tuesday at Campbell.
Dominion Christian 63, Furtah Prep 48: Harrison Kristofak led three Knights in double figures with 18 points.
Isaiah Primus-Belgrave added 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Courtney Alexander Jr. had 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists for Dominion (12-5).
Harrison 51, Wheeler 43: The Lady Hoyas used a 15-0 run in the fourth quarter to gain a come-form-behind victory in a non-region game.
Christen McKay led Harrison with 18 points and six assists. Kaylyn Brooks scored 13 points, Emily Hegstetter had nine and Lizzy Sieracki added six points and five rebounds.
Cassidy Allen and Alaysia Mitchell each had 13 points to lead Wheeler.
Harrison (11-8) will host North Cobb on Friday, while Wheeler (5-11) will host Woodstock on Tuesday.
Kennesaw Mountain 47, Gordon Central 42: Amber Hutchins scored 19 points and the Lady Mustang held on for a victory.
Kennesaw Mountain (3-15) saw its 27-14 halftime lead vanish as it was outscored 15-2 in the third quarter and needed to rally in the fourth.
Jaylah Carr contributed 12 points, while Rachel Irby finished with eight for Kennesaw Mountain, which will play at Campbell on Tuesday.
River Ridge 49, Walton 39: The Lady Raiders trailed by 25 points heading into the fourth quarter before settling for a 10-point loss in the non-region contest.
River Ridge took control early, leading by 10 after one quarter, and it eventually built the lead to 43-18 heading to the final 8 minutes before Walton closed the game on a 21-6 run.
Walton (9-6), who was led by Kelly Caudell’s 10 points and Hannah Patterson’s nine, will host Etowah on Tuesday.
Stephenson 72, Campbell 55: The Lady Spartans led for most of the first three quarters, but could not hold on to win their non-region contest.
Campbell led 31-26 at the half and trailed only by two heading to the final period, but the Lady Spartans went cold from the floor at the same time Stephenson warmed up. The Lady Jaguars closed the game on a 24-9 run.
Julie McKie led Campbell with 22 points and nine rebounds. D’Asia Cain added 10 points and nine boards.
The Lady Spartans (10-10) will host Kennesaw Mountain on Tuesday.
