Betty Jo Roberts, 85, of Marietta, died Saturday, July 12, 2014. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Sammy Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Roberts loved Southern Gospel Music, her favorites were Jake Hess and J.D. Sumner. She loved growing flowers in her garden and loved to cook. She would do anything for her children. Mrs. Roberts never met a stranger and was a friend to all. Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Inman of Dublin, GA; two sons, Gary Lawrence and his wife, Belinda of Cartersville, Greg Lawrence and his wife Pattie of Marietta; grandchildren, Carla Brock of Cumming, Bryan Lawrence of Dallas, Daniel Lawrence of Marietta, Christie Soles of Dublin and April Inman of Smyrna; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Cobb County Unit, 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd. #280, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Family will receive friends 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Marietta.
