Kathy Seven Williams, age 64, of Marietta passed away, Tuesday, October 22, 2013. In accordance with her wishes her body has been donated for scientific research in hopes that medical advancements may be possible thanks to her sacrifice. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday November 16th at St. James Episcopal Church in Marietta with Rev. Roger Allen officiating. A Jazz Funeral Procession will follow through the streets of Marietta to Glover Park in Marietta Square where a wake and celebration of her life will take place. She was born on April 9th, 1949 in Pontiac IL and has lived in Pomona, CA, Ogden UT, Port Angeles Washington, and Marietta, GA. She spent her life overcoming obstacles and teaching others to do the same. Blind from birth, she was raised to be capable of anything a sighted person could do. She was retired from The State of Utah where she worked tirelessly as a Rehab Counsellor for the Blind. She overcame kidney failure, fibromyalgia, and heart disease to live her life to the fullest even in her final days. Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her parents, Francis Fulmer and Michael Seven. She is survived by her husband Jay Williams; son Bill Rush and daughter Tracie Rose; sister Judi Barber; and pets Panda (cat) and Willow (dog).
