Kenneth John Korizon, 62, of Marietta, GA, died September 24, 2013. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11am at Noonday Baptist Church, East Campus, 4120 Canton Rd., Kennesaw, GA 30144. Ken was a loyal servant of Jesus Christ who served faithfully at Noonday Baptist Church and volunteered extensively in the community. He adored his grandchildren and could always be counted on to be at every softball and football game, swim meet and school activity. He was an umpire for the Cherokee Umpire Association, the Georgia High School Association and was chosen to umpire at the Little Majors Cooperstown Tournament in New York this past summer. His heart was in serving others--especially children and teens. Ken was the quiet, dependable, reliable person who was always there for others. Ken is survived by his wife of 27 years, Jill Taylor Korizon; daughters: Terri Michele Torres, Veleta Renee Nixon, Kimberly Dawn (Dan) McKaughan and Kristina Joy (Andrew) Kicklighter; grandchildren: Dre’ Curry, Brittany Nixon, Tony Curry, Jill Torres, Allie Torres, Christion Curry, Kaleb McKaughan, Jacob McKaughan and his eagerly awaited grandson, Andrew Micah Kicklighter. Also survived by siblings: Sharon Korizon, Claudette Roberts, Ray Korizon and Gary Korizon. He was preceded in death by parents: Raymond & Madge Korizon; sister Janice Yvonne Sebrell.
