Dorothy Louise Lamine, 94, of Marietta, died Tuesday, September, 10th, 2013. Dorothy was born December 18, 1918, in Alpharetta, GA to the late Arthur (Buck) Buchanan and Lillie Dale Wyatt Lewis, Sr. She was married to the late, Fred Joel Lamine, Jr. (1983). She worked during WWII; she contributed her efforts by working at the American Lava Company, in Chattanooga, TN, that produced the electronic wiring insulators needed during those years. After the war, Dorothy and Fred resided in Marietta, where Fred worked at Lockheed Aircraft and they raised their family. She was active in her community and had many hobbies though the years, but always loved cooking and had a passion for flower gardening. She is survived by two daughters, Betty June Long of Huntsville, AL, Martha Louise Chandler, of Ellijay, GA, and Jerry Fredrick Lamine, of Kennesaw, GA; 5 great-grandchildren; 5 great, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services celebrating Dorothy’s life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, September 14th, 2013, in the Chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2000 Cobb Parkway, Marietta, GA, 30060. The family will receive friends Friday, from 5:00 until 8:00pm and Saturday before the service. Interment will be on the Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery grounds.
