Anthony (Tony) Challenor Jackson, 77, of Acworth, Georgia, died Thursday, September 12, 2013. He died peacefully in his sleep at Tranquility Hospice in Kennesaw after a brief illness. Tony was born in England on September 3, 1936. His wife, Sharon, predeceased him. He is survived by his niece, Heather Davenport, of Southport, England. He is also survived by dear friend, Atiba Davis, neighbors Cami and Danny Heffernen, and his many church friends. Tony was an engineer for Lockheed Corporation for over 40 years and worked on many important aircraft projects. He was extremely active in his church, Unity of Kennesaw. He was their Head Usher, a prayer chaplain, and active on every church event. Tony was truly a pillar of the church. He was also active in the psychic community affiliated with Forever and a Day. He loved to garden and cherished his two cats, Velvet and Freddie. Tony lived life to the fullest and died peacefully with his friends loving him. He will be deeply missed. Many thanks are extended to the Unity of Kennesaw church family that helped during his life and final days. A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, September 15, 4:00 p.m., at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Parkway NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152. The service will be led by Rev. Kelly Thomas. Donations in Tony’s name will be accepted by Unity of Kennesaw, P.O. Box 2514, Kennesaw, Ga 30144. His cremains will be interned next to his wife’s at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.
