Michael "Mickey" Lee Roberts, age 60, of Kennesaw, GA passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Faith Community Church in Douglasville with Pastor James Garrett, Jr. officiating. Mr. Roberts will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. at 2:30 p.m. Born in Dalton, GA, Mr. Roberts lived in Cobb County for most of his life. He worked for Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, and was a member of Faith Community Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include wife, Janet; children, Kristy and Justin; step children, Doug and Karen; mother, Betty; sisters, Julianne and Betty June; brother, Eddie; grandchildren, Ansleigh, Mason, Chase, Chloe and Lane; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Faith Community Church Memorial Fund. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
