Architect Stephen Moon, candidate for Cobb Commission District 3, has received formal endorsements from the three most recent presidents of the Northeast Cobb Homeowners Group, current president Norm DeWalt, Tricia Clements and Laura Weiss.

The group represents homes along the Canton Road and Sandy Plains corridor, extending to Highway 92.

Said DeWalt: "Steve and I have worked side by side to negotiate solutions for a number of difficult situations. We have been at the table with the county, property owners, developers and attorneys in large meetings where I've seen him work for compromise, but also to stand up for homeowners."

Moon said over the past year he has declined offers of endorsements from politicians and business leaders in order to avoid "cronyism and political favors."

"I am completely free to serve homeowners and their families," he said.

Members of the Leadership Cobb classes of 2008 and 2010 have been invited to a meet and greet for Moon, a LC '08 alumnus. The public is invited to attend from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the home of Jennifer Farmer and Dan Hydrick in east Cobb. E-mail Jenniferfarmer2006 @comcast.net or call (678) 778-4751 for directions.
