In 2008, Davis ran against Judge LaTain Kell for Cobb Superior Court Judge, and while she received 45 percent of the vote, she ultimately lost the race to Kell.
Following the election, Davis sued Cobb Elections Director Sharon Dunn, alleging counting errors by the elections office. Judge Cindy Morris of Dalton was brought in from the Connasauga Circuit Superior Court to hear the case and on Dec. 18, 2008, Morris dismissed Davis' challenge, stating that Davis' claims "lack any justifiable issue of law or fact to the extent that it could not be reasonably believed that a court would accept the asserted claim." Morris also ordered Davis to pay all attorneys' fees, a ruling which Davis appealed to the Georgia Supreme Court and also lost in March.
Three Cobb Superior Court seats are eligible to be elected in November. So far, incumbents Jim Bodiford and Robert Flournoy are running uncontested. Both qualified to run for their seats on Monday.
In Cobb State Court Division II, no new candidates qualified to run on Wednesday.

I do wish these dumb clods that apparently can't earn a living any other way would stop costing us so much money preventing them from accidentally getting into a position of authority.
This cluck Davis obviously doesn't even know the difference between a viable lawsuit and a frivolous one. How could she ever hope to get anything else right on the bench?
Lennin said ït does not mater how many votes are counted, only who counts the votes!
Why has Ms. Dunn chosen to step down from her position?
The Ga. Supreme Court sanctioned lying/fraud in the electronic voting fraud case, and a citizen can't even bring a camera into the court room to prove fraud by the courts! So you are part of the destruction of this once freedom loving country. No wonder we got side tracked into Iraq; read about Pat Tillman, then demand at least in his memory mandatory cameras, like ones in jails, police cars, even street lights, but especially the most important place it counts. Then read some of the Founding Fathers words about the tyranny of the judicial, before its too late for your rights as well.
Next thing you know our courts will be in the paper daily just like the BOE.
When her suit was tossed Cobb County should have counter sued her for legal expenses.
So who is she related to and have you looked at her contributions? Interesting reading just like Tim Lee's.
