Mr. Cochran was born May, 31, 1921 in Cartersville, GA, the son of James Albert Cochran and Eula Mae Hamilton Cochran. He was a U.S. Merchant Marine World War II veteran and a retired automobile salesman. He was a member of Lutheran Church of The Redeemer. He is survived by a daughter, Gwin C. Poston of Charleston, SC; a son, J. Kenneth Cochran and wife, Sheryl, of Acworth, GA; a sister, Clara Jean Coker of Cartersville, GA; two brothers, Clarence Cochran of Blue Ridge, GA and Robert Cochran of Rome, GA; five grandchildren, Jennifer C. Chase, Patrick Cochran, Cherie Godwin, Matthew Poston and Rachel Carver; and seven great grandchildren.
