Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of June 19, 2010, James Lowry Cochran, widower of Sibyl Gwin Cochran. Residence, Hanahan, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services in Lutheran Church of The Redeemer, Charleston, SC, Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at eleven o'clock. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Charleston, SC. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Charleston, SC, Monday between five and seven o'clock. Mr. Cochran was born May, 31, 1921 in Cartersville, GA, the son of James Albert Cochran and Eula Mae Hamilton Cochran. He was a U.S. Merchant Marine World War II veteran and a retired automobile salesman. He was a member of Lutheran Church of The Redeemer. He is survived by a daughter, Gwin C. Poston of Charleston, SC; a son, J. Kenneth Cochran and wife, Sheryl, of Acworth, GA; a sister, Clara Jean Coker of Cartersville, GA; two brothers, Clarence Cochran of Blue Ridge, GA and Robert Cochran of Rome, GA; five grandchildren, Jennifer C. Chase, Patrick Cochran, Cherie Godwin, Matthew Poston and Rachel Carver; and seven great grandchildren.
