Caroline's backyard was transformed into a kingdom fit for a queen. Her aunt, Stacey Harris, built a castle out of corrugated cardboard that looked like stones covered with ivy and complete with turrets. A life-size cutout of Cinderella flanked the castle.
Princess Caroline and all her princess friends walked through a white trellis adorned with pink and Cinderella-blue tulle as well as pink and blue flowers and ivy. Caroline held court at little tables covered in pink satin and tulle, secured at the edges with flowers, and shaded by blue beach umbrellas. Of course, a princess castle cake was served.
Grandmother Donya Morris appeared as Caroline's Fairy Godmother. Caroline's cousin, Sara Beth Harris, dressed as a princess, assisted in the festivities. Cinderella made an appearance and entertained with magic tricks while the girls enjoyed glass slipper-shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
